Royal Jordanian to adopt additional security measures for U.S.-bound flights

Xinhua,January 17, 2018 Adjust font size:

AMMAN, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Royal Jordanian Airlines said on Wednesday that it will adopt additional security measures for all U.S.-bound flights.

The additional security measures, as required by the U.S. in October 2017, will include security interviews with every passenger on direct flights to the United States, Royal Jordanian said in a statement.

In addition, passengers of Royal Jordanian are required to arrive at the airport three hours before their scheduled U.S.-bound flights, in order to avoid delays and allow more time for the new security procedures, the statement added.

Royal Jordanian currently operates 11 weekly flights to the U.S.: five to Chicago, four to New York and two to Detroit, with a connection in Canada's Montreal. Enditem
