DPRK, South Korea agree to march together at opening of 2018 Winter Olympics

SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea and South Korea announced on Wednesday that their delegations will march jointly at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

According to Yonhap, the two countries reached the agreement at the border village of Panmunjom during a working meeting on Wednesday. It followed high-level talks on January 9, during which South Korea proposed the joint march.

It will be the first joint march for the two countries at an opening ceremony of an international sports competition in 11 years, and the 10th overall.

The opening ceremony of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games will be held on Feburay 9. Enditem
