Xinhua,January 13, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded mixed on Friday morning, as traders await the important U.S. Department of Agriculture January crop report which will be released on Friday.

The report along with South American weather should be the major drivers of price heading into spring.

March corn were down 0.25 cent at 3.485 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1615 GMT, March wheat was one cent higher at 4.3425 dollars, while March soybeans was 4.5 cents lower at 9.455 dollars.

As for international market, drier than normal weather will persist across the northern half of Brazil for at least the next two weeks. Soil moisture is being rapidly lost which will have to be replaced before the planting of their winter corn crop.

Some isolated rains fell across South Argentina overnight with additional activity expected on the weekend with rainfall totals estimated in a range of 0.5 to two inches. A second rainfall is expected during the middle of next week. Enditem
