Snow disrupts traffic in NE China

SHENYANG, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Nineteen expressways have been closed or controlled since snow hit northeast China's Liaoning Province, local authorities said on Monday.

The snow, which started falling on Sunday night, will result in icy roads, the local observatory forecast on Monday morning.

Following the snow, Liaoning will see temperatures plunge by eight to 10 degrees Celsius. Enditem
