Chinese shares mixed by midday Friday

BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares closed mixed by midday Friday as major indices had been fluctuating since opening.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went up 0.08 percent to 3298.88 points. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.24 percent to 11,000.23 points.

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.04 percent to 1,744.34 points.

Electronics, property and chemical sectors gained with strong capital inflow, while cyclical shares including non-ferrous metals and distilled spirits started to drop. Enditem
