Dollar trades in upper 112 yen zone in morning amid lack of cues

TOKYO, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- The dollar traded in a narrow range in the upper 112 yen zone Friday morning in Tokyo, amid a lack of fresh trading cues ahead of the year-end holidays.

At midday, the dollar was quoted at 112.74-75 yen compared with 112.81-91 yen in New York and 112.72-73 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1945-1949 dollars and 134.71-75 yen against 1.1937-1947 dollars and 134.74-84 yen in New York and 1.1939-1941 dollars and 134.58-62 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
