LUSAKA, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- A Rwandese national is nursing wounds in a hospital in Lusaka, the Zambian capital, after criminals shot at him whilst in his shop, the police said on Wednesday.

Zambia Police Spokesperson Esther Mwaata-Katongo said the 29-year-old Rwandese national was wounded on Tuesday night when armed criminals stormed his shop situated in one of the city's densely populated slums, Kanyama where they also stole undisclosed amounts of money.

He sustained a deep cut on the back of the head, she added.

The police spokesperson added that the criminals further injured two clients found in the shop, with one dying on the spot after sustaining a deep cut on the back of the head while the other client sustained a painful neck.
