1 dead, 7 seriously injured in tour bus accident in Iceland: report

OSLO, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least one passenger died and seven other passengers seriously injured on Wednesday in southeastern Iceland after a tour bus carrying more than 45 travelers skidded off the road and rolled over, local media reported.

The accident took place at 11:03 a.m. local time, according to an online report by Iceland Magazine.

At least two passengers were pinned beneath the bus after being thrown out of the vehicle, it said.

Several passengers suffered minor injuries. Thirty six travelers who were not seriously injured were taken to a crisis center in a nearby village, according to the report. Enditem
