British stocks down 0.15 pct Friday

LONDON, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.15 percent, or 11.32 points, to close at 7,592.66 points.

Next, a British multinational clothing, footwear and home products retailer, soared 3.71 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Reckitt Benckiser Group and Severn Trent increased by 1.68 percent and 1.52 percent, respectively.

Ashtead Group,an international equipment rental company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 1.67 percent. G4S, a British multinational security services company, dropped 1.59 percent. GlaxoSmithKline, a global healthcare company, fell 1.36 percent. Enditem
