Tunisia arrests 9 extremists planning terrorist attack

TUNIS, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Agents for Investigation of Terrorist Crimes of El Gorjani arrested 9 members of a extremist cell, belonging to al-Qaida, preparing for a terrorist attack, announced the Ministry of the Interior in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, these terrorists were in contact with other elements hidden in mountains, and planning for terrorist attacks, without specifying more about these attacks.

The extremist elements were operating in the governorates of Sousse, Manouba and Kairouan, according to the same source. Enditem
