UNITED NATIONS, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- The UN Security Council on Friday adopted a new resolution to tighten sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in response to Pyongyang's ballistic missile launch on Nov. 28.

The resolution, which was passed by the council unanimously, targets the supply of refined petroleum products to the DPRK, among other restrictive measures. Enditem
