KUWAIT CITY, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait strongly condemns Houthis' firing of a ballistic missile against Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"This cowardly act, which aimed at terrorizing civilians, shows again how the Houthis were defying the will of the international community, violating the UN resolutions, and undermining security and stability of the region," a foreign ministry source said on condition of anonymity.

Kuwait stands fully behind Saudi Arabia and supports all measures aimed at preserving security and stability, the source noted.

Kuwait is committed to supporting the legitimate leadership in Yemen, he added.

Yemen's Houthi movement on Tuesday announced firing of a ballistic missile towards Saudi royal palace in Riyadh, Houthi-controlled Saba news agency reported. Enditem
