MOSCOW -- A woman and a four-year-old child were killed and 11 others injured after an antiquated airplane crashed in north Russia's Nenets Autonomous Region Tuesday, the regional administration confirmed.

An Antonov An-2 plane with two crew members and 11 passengers on board made a hard landing after takeoff at an airport in Naryan-Mar City, capital of Nenets, said a statement by the regional administration. (Russia-Plane Accident)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi movement on Tuesday announced firing a ballistic missile towards a Kingdom's royal palace in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, Houthi-controlled state Saba news agency reported.

A senior military official at Houthi-controlled Defence Ministry told Xinhua that "the Rocket's Force fired the ballistic missile, Burkan H2, towards the kingdom's royal palace of Yamamah at the center of the Saudi capital of Riyadh at the same time there was an important meeting for the Saudi royal family." TOKYO -- One of Japan's leading construction firms Obayashi Corp. has admitted to breaching antitrust laws connected to a bidding process for construction contracts for a new maglev train project, local media quoted sources close to the matter as saying Tuesday.

Japan's antitrust watchdog, the Japan Fair Trade Commission, heard from Obayashi that it was involved in obstructing the bidding process along with three other leading constructors, Taisei Corp., Kajima Corp. and Shimizu Corp., according to the sources. (Japan-Obayashi-Antitrust)

ANKARA -- Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag on Tuesday criticized the U.S. for vetoing a draft resolution on the status of Jerusalem at the UN Security Council.
