QUITO, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Emelec clinched their 14th Ecuadorian first division title on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Delfin in the second leg of the Serie A final.

The result at Estadio Jocay in the coastal city of Manta handed the Guayaquil outfit a 6-2 win on aggregate after their 4-2 home victory in the first leg.

Ayrton Preciado and Bryan Angulo were on the scoresheet for the visitors in Sunday's decisive fixture.

The victory was Emelec's fourth top flight title in the past five years and guarantees the team a berth in next year's Copa Libertadores, South America's version of the UEFA Champions League. Enditem
