Chinese delegation introduces CPC party congress in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese delegation is visiting Sri Lanka from Dec. 12 to Dec. 15 and introducing the achievements of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The delegation, led by Wang Yajun, Assitant Minister of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, met leader of Sri Lanka's United National Party and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, General Secretary of the United National Party Kabir Hashim, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Duminda Dissanayake, and leaders from local left-wing parties.

The Chinese delegation briefed the Sri Lankan political and business communities, think tanks and media on the spirit of the 19th CPC party congress.

The Sri Lankan side spoke highly of the briefing given by the delegation, saying the achievements of the CPC Congress will help boost the cooperation between the two countries and will benefit the two peoples. Enditem
