Dollar changes hands in lower 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo Friday, largely unchanged from its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.39-40 yen compared with 112.34-44 yen in New York and 112.76-77 yen at 5 p.m. local time on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1772-1776 dollars and 132.31-38 yen against 1.1773-1783 dollars and 132.34-44 yen in New York and 1.1816-1818 dollars and 133.24-28 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
