Albania in line with EU policies on Israel-Palestine issue: FM

TIRANA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Albania Thursday made clears its position on the issue regarding the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as capital city of Israel, saying it supports the European Union (EU) stance.

Albania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati declared in parliament on Thursday that Albania's stance remained unchanged.

This means that Albania is standing together with the EU against Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

"Different people have asked me why we have not spoken so far. But what I can say is that the Albanian government's stance remains the same as many years ago, reflected on the vote in United Nations, in same line with EU," Bushati said during Thursday's plenary session.

"Our foreign policy is 100 percent in line with that of the European Union," Minister Bushati stressed. Enditem
