TEHRAN, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- At least 55 people were injured following the earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale that jolted Hojadk city in Iran's Kerman Province Wednesday morning, state IRIB TV reported.

On Tuesday, another earthquake measuring 6.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale shook Hojadk city, injuring 18 people.

The electricity and water flow has been disrupted in some of the adjacent villages. The quake has caused damage to the buildings in the region.

According to the state TV, schools and universities in the city of Kerman were declared closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Enditem
