U.S. dollar rises against most major currencies

NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose against most major currencies on Tuesday as investors were awaiting the Federal Reserve statement due Wednesday.

In late New York trading, the euro decreased to 1.1739 dollars from 1.1792 dollars, while the dollar bought 113.55 Japanese yen, higher than 113.47 yen in the previous session. Enditem
