British stocks up 0.63 pct Tuesday

LONDON, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.63 percent, or 46.93 points, to close at 7,500.41 points.

Experian, a global information services group, soared 2.49 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. BP and Admiral Group increased by 2.47 percent and 2.37 percent, respectively.

The major British supermarket chain Wm Morrison Supermarkets was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.47 percent.

J Sainsbury, another British supermarkets chain, dropped 4.13 percent. CRH, an Irish building materials business, dropped 1.70 percent. Enditem
