Singaporean stocks close 0.15 pct higher

SINGAPORE, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) closed up 0.15 percent or 5.09 points to close at 3465.54.

A total of 1.63 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 994.1 million Singapore dollars (about 735.6 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 239 to 172.

The STI index closed up 1.05 percent or 35.81 points to close at 3460.45 on Monday. Enditem
