Taiwan's New Party chairman to visit mainland

BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Yok Mu-ming, chairman of Taiwan's New Party, will lead a delegation to visit the Chinese mainland from Dec. 9 to Dec. 16, a mainland spokesperson said Thursday.

Yok will visit Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai, said An Fengshan, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

The visit aims to promote peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, and advance the process toward the peaceful reunification of China and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, An said. Enditem
