Iran's Rouhani cautions Muslim states over ties with Israel

Xinhua,December 05, 2017 Adjust font size:

TEHRAN, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday denounced some Muslim countries in the Middle East for their inclination for proximity with Israel, Tasnim news agency reported.

Some regional and Islamic countries tactlessly disclose their friendship and ties with Tel Aviv, Rouhani said at the 31st International Islamic Unity Conference here in Tehran on Tuesday.

Although such countries were in cahoots with Israel in the past, today, they announce that the resistance front against Israel is their enemy instead, said Rouhani.

However, regional nations and Muslims around the world will thwart what he called "such sinister plots" to consign the Palestinian issue into oblivion.

Most Arab governments have no official diplomatic relations with Israel, but some of them, including Saudi Arabia, have shown their proximity with Israel over what they term as "common threats" by the increasing influence of Iran in the region. Enditem
