Spanish shares gain 1.23 pct Monday

MADRID, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares rose on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 1.23 percent or 123.60 points, to close at 10,208.60 points.

A total of 30 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

The world's leading retailer Inditex advanced 3.40 percent, followed by stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox and steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal that rose 2.85 percent and 2.78 percent respectively.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa went down 2.67 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Consultancy and technology company Indra A lost 1.83 percent and electricity supplier R.E.C. went down 0.56 percent. Enditem
