ROME, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Alberto Brignoli socored an unbelievable header which was the first goal by a goalkeeper since 2001 in Serie A League, gifting the struggling Benevento a lcuky draw with AC Milan 2-2 on Sunday.

"I closed my eyes and I jumped. It was a goalkeeper's dive, rather than a striker's," said the 26-year-old player who recalled his first goal for Benevento.

Brignoli's goal helped the hosts tally the first point in the Italian top league, and stoped a 14 winless steak in the league. Benevento's coach Roberto De Zerbi said he trusts that the first point can crucially boost motivation.

Brignoli is on loan from Juventus and appeared eight times this season for Benevento. The goal made him become one of the five goalkeepers on target in the history of Serie A, and the third to find the net not directly from a free kick or penalty. Enditem
