KUWAIT CITY -- The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) said on Sunday it is seeking cooperation with the World Bank (WB) in the gas and power sectors.
A WB delegation visited the OAPEC headquarters in Kuwait City last week to discuss mainly the natural gas trade in the region and the Arab common market for electricity, said OAPEC Secretary General Abbas Naqi. (Kuwait-OAPEC-WB Cooperation)

SANAA -- A fire ripped through the building of the Iranian embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Sunday during clashes between the Houthis and loyalists of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, a Xinhua reporter on the scene witnessed.

MOGADISHU -- The UN health agency said Sunday it is suffering a funding gap of 5 million U.S. dollars required to maintain its first line health response operations in Somalia.
World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement issued in Mogadishu that the funding will also help the agency maintain its national capacity building activities on the management of emergency outbreaks. (Somalia-Health)

HOUSTON -- An alleged shooting incident on Saturday in a shopping mall in Houston in the U.S. state of Texas was actually a smash and grab at a jewelry store. There were no injuries or casualties, local police said.
A robber smashed a jewelry case with a hammer inside Macy's at the Memorial City Mall, about 20 km west of Downtown Houston. The robber then fled the scene, James Jones, assistant chief of Houston Police Department said at a media briefing. Enditem
