China's Shi Tingmao awarded FINA Best Female Diver of the Year 2017

SANYA, China, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese diver Shi Tingmao was named the Best Female Diver of the Year 2017 at the FINA World Aquatics Gala on Saturday night in Sanya, a city of south China's Hainan province.

Shi won the women's 3m springboard and women's 3m synchronized springboard titles at the FINA World Championships in Budapest.

"I feel very lucky to get this award for the third time, and I want to express my thanks here to my coach and my family," Shi said, adding she will make more efforts in the future.

The award of the Best Male Diver went to the Briton Thomas Daley, who won the gold medal in the men's 10m platform at the FINA World Championships. Enditem
