KAMPALA, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Uganda Lacrosse Foundation has appointed American Pete Ginnegar as national coach.

Ginnegar will be in-charge of the national team before and during the 2018 World Cup in Israel as he has coached at various levels of College Lacrosse in the U.S. for 34 seasons.

Holman said they have also decided to get experienced assistant coaches who will help during the World Cup.

He said the foundation has also launched a fund-raising campaign to cover the expenses of sending a team to the 2018 World Cup in Netanya, Israel. The event, which will feature 50 participating countries and over 2,000 athletes will take place on July 12-21.
