MINSK, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on Thursday called upon the UN and international organizations to unite in the framework of a broad coalition to fight against international terrorism.
The CSTO, consisting of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, also called for support to the process of de-escalation and stabilization of the situation in Syria, the leaders of the CSTO member countries said in a joint declaration following the Minsk summit.
The CSTO believes that interstate cooperation should be strengthened to identify terrorists crossing state borders, including those under the guise of refugees.
The CSTO also warns against the use of threats and force in settling interstate and international disputes, it said.
The leaders of the Minsk summit passed more than 20 documents and signed a plan for implementing the CSTO Collective Security Strategy for the period until 2025. Enditem
