One killed, 10 injured in grenade blast at Ukraine court

KIEV, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- At least one person was killed and 10 others wounded Thursday in a grenade blast at a court in the Dnipropetrovsk region in eastern Ukraine, the regional department of the National Police said.

The incident occurred at around 11:20 a.m. local time (GMT 0920) during a court hearing, when the father of a murder victim set off two hand grenades in the court hall, killing himself and wounding the other participants in the trial.

Ten people sustained shrapnel wounds, two of whom are in severe condition, according to police spokesperson Anna Starchevska. The police have launched an investigation into the incident. Enditem
