1st LD: Israel retaliates fire from Gaza, targets Hamas positions

JERUSALEM, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Israel targeted Hamas posts in the Gaza Strip late on Thursday noon, shortly after Gaza militants fired mortars at troops near the separation fence.

A military statement said that Israel Defense Forces' tank and aircraft fired at four Hamas positions in the besieged Palestinian enclave.

The shooting came after 13 mortars were fired at an Israeli military position near the northern Gaza Strip, while soldiers were carrying construction works near the fence, according to the statement. Enditem
