Man with fake explosive belt arrested in SW France

PARIS, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- France's anti-terrorism units on Wednesday morning neutralized a man who claimed having an explosive belt and was hidden in police station in Tulle, southwestern France, local reports reported.

Citing police source, the daily Le Figaro said a man had shown up at 04:00 a.m. local time, who was believed to wear an explosive belt that turned to be fake.

"The threatening person" was hidden in the empty building before he got out and moved towards the raid units menacing them, said local authorities.

He was neutralized and wounded in his legs while no injuries were reported among policemen, said the authorities, adding that an investigation was opened to determine the attacker's motives.

According to local media, the individual has psychiatric troubles and stayed several times at hospital for treatment. Enditem
