Mayor of Lanzhou under investigation

LANZHOU, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Luan Kejun, the mayor of Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's Gansu Province, is being investigated for alleged serious violations of discipline, according to the Communist Party of China's (CPC) anti-graft body in Gansu on Wednesday.

Luan, 57, had worked for Huating Coal company before being appointed the CPC chief of Gansu's Qingyang City in Oct. 2014.

He became the deputy Party chief and Mayor of Lanzhou in Dec. 2016. Enditem
