Jordan, Iraq say they share vision in combating terrorism

Jordan and Iraq on Thursday said they share a unified vision in combating terrorism, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
The announcement was made after a meeting between King Abdullah II of Jordan and Iraqi President Fouad Masoum in Amman.
King Abdullah said Jordan and Iraq share a unified position in encountering terrorism, stressing that Jordan plays key role in Iraq's security and stability.
Meanwhile, the two leaders also stressed the need to secure their joint borders as well as the need to accelerate the implementation of an oil pipeline between the two countries.
Discussions also covered the war against the Islamic State (IS) group. The two sides called for intensified international and regional efforts to fight terrorism. Enditem
