The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- The Zambian government said there will be no salary increments for public workers until after the economy was fully recovered.

Chief Government Spokesperson Kampamba Mulenga said it was difficult for government to increase salaries for public workers amid austerity measures that it was currently undertaking to stabilize the economy. (Daily Nation)

-- Two people died while 28 others were hospitalized after being attacked by rabid dogs in northern Zambia's Nchelenge district.

Derrick Mwela, the district commissioner, said police have since embarked on patrols to kill the rabid dogs that were on rampage in the district while quick intervention measures to save lives of the victims such as procurement of drugs have been put in place. (Times of Zambia)

-- A leading cyber security advisory firm from Israel has agreed to help Zambia set up a cyber-security institute aimed at protecting the country against cyber-attacks.
