Burak Yilmaz scored two goals for Beijing Guoan, helping it beat Yanbian Fude 2-1 in the 9th round of the 2017 Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Saturday.

Beijing has only beaten Yanbian twice on away soil in the 23-year history of the Chinese professional soccer league, with its last victory in Yanbian dating back to the year 1996.

Turkish Yilmaz broke the deadlock in the 28th minute through a follow-up shot, after Yanbian goalkeeper Chi Wenyi denied his first close-range shot.

Steve Trawally tied the score 1-1 in the 32nd minute after receiving an accurate pass from Han Guanghui in the box.

Beijing full-back Zhao Hejing orchestrated a melee at the box in the 52nd minute, enabling Yilmaz to net his sixth goal in the last six games.

Yanbian tried to equalize before the final whistle, but failed. After the defeat, the home team is closing to the bottom of the league table.

"We don't have great strikers who can decide the game, I'm sorry for the fans that we can't win," said Yanbian head coach Park Tae-Ha.

In Zhengzhou city, Shanghai Greenland held a goalless draw with Henan Jianye. Henan dominated the first 45 minutes and the other side had better performance after the half break. Obafemi Martins missed a volley shot chance in the 58th minute, while Sun Shilin hit his luck shot wide in the 74th minute.

In the other two games on Saturday, Liaoning Shenyang Kaixin edged Chongqing Lifan 2-1, Guizhou Hengfeng defeated Tianjin Quanjian 2-1. Endit
