(BRF) CPC, LPRP to increase exchanges on party building: senior CPC official

Xinhua, May 13, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) should deepen experience exchanges on party building and governance, a senior CPC official said Saturday.

Wang Qishan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during his meeting with Laotian President Bounnhang Vorachit, who is also general secretary of the Central Committee of the LPRP.

Wang said the CPC and the LPRP need to increase the exchanges because they have common ideals and beliefs, advocate similar development paths, and face the same issues of party building, such as comprehensively and strictly governing the party.

Wang also expressed his hope for the two countries to link development strategies, step up practical cooperation and jointly build a community of common destiny through the Belt and Road Initiative.

Bounnhang is in Beijing to attend the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation scheduled for Sunday and Monday.

Bounnhang said Laos is willing to deepen exchange and cooperation in all aspects with China and promote continuous, stable and healthy development of relations between the two countries and two parties. Endi
