Egypt strongly condemned on Saturday a terrorist attack in Qatif of Saudi Arabia on Friday, which left two killed and 10 others injured.

"Egypt asserts its solidarity with Saudi in combating terrorism and extremism that shakes its security and stability," Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"Egypt supports all the measures taken by Saudi to foil the plans of the terrorist cells and organizations to promote safety and security of its citizens," it added.

The statement also underlined the need of intensifying international efforts to confront terrorism and seeking a comprehensive vision to stop its spread. Endit
