Xinhua, UNAIDS agree to deepen cooperation

Xinhua, May 12, 2017 Adjust font size:

Xinhua News Agency and the Joint UN Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) on Friday agreed to deepen cooperation on HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

The pledge came out of a meeting between Xinhua President Cai Mingzhao and UN Under Secretary General and Executive Director of UNAIDS Michel Sidibe.

Cai said Xinhua attaches great importance to the cooperation with UNAIDS, and will actively assist their work, making its contribution to the early realization of UNAIDS' "three-zeroes" vision, namely "zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths."

Sidibe spoke highly of Xinhua's efforts in promoting HIV/AIDS prevention and hoped that Xinhua could continue to support its work on HIV/AIDS prevention education. Endi
