Another Burkina rider wins second stage int'l cycling race of Benin

Cyclist Bassirou Moveyan from Burkina Faso on Thursday won the second stage of the 14th international cycling race of Benin.

He finished the 80 km long stage Dassa-Bohicon in one hour, 51 minutes and 10 seconds, at a cycling average speed of 40.99 km per hour, in front of the rider Abou Sanogo from Cote d' Ivoire.

His fellow Abdoul Aziz Nikiema came third and grasped the yellow jersey from Mathias Sorgho, another cyclist from Burkina Faso.

The contest kicked off on Wednesday in Parakou and is scheduled to close on May 14 in Cotonou.

A total of 45 riders from Benin, Burkina-Faso, Togo, Cote d' Ivoire, Niger, DR Congo, Congo-Brazzaville and France took part in the start of the five-stage competition. Endit
