Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) have agreed to cooperate in promoting women and children's well-being in rural areas of the Southeast Asian country.

The initiative aims to reach the most marginalized and vulnerable groups of children and women, especially ethnic groups with key messages related to health, education, child protection and other relevant topics.

An agreement signing ceremony for the Multiyear Work Plan 2017-2018 was held Wednesday in Lao capital Vientiane.

The Multiyear Work Plan 2017-2018 will focus on the development and dissemination of information to marginalized and vulnerable groups, on a wide range of topics, such as child marriage, early pregnancy, child trafficking, immunization, nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene promotion, violence against children and early childhood education.
