Ghanaian president congratulates new France president

Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Wednesday congratulated Emmanuel Macron on his election as the new president of France.

In a statement issued in Accra, Akufo-Addo applauded the determination of the new French leader in his acceptance speech to "fight the divisions that undermine France", and effect the change the French people voted for.

He also expressed the hope that the new French leader will continue to strengthen the ties between France and Ghana, and the entire African continent. Endit
