1st LD: U.S.-led airstrike kills 10 civilians in Syria's Deir al-Zour

At least 10 civilians were killed on Wednesday by an airstrike carried out by the U.S.-led anti-terror coalition on the a town in the eastern province of Deir al-Zour, local media reported.

The airstrike targeted the town of Sour, some 50 km north of Deir al-Zour, said the report.

The U.S. has been active in striking the positions of the Islamic State (IS) group in the countryside of Deir al-Zour.

The U.S.-led anti-terror coalition has also been backing the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in their push against the IS positions in Deir al-Zour and Raqqa province, the de facto capital of IS in northern Syria. Endit
