Massive expatriates aged over 60 still working in Saudi Arabia

Saudi's statistics authority revealed that there are 214,000 expatriates over 60 years old still working in the country, reported Malhadth local online news on Wednesday.

Of the 214,000 expatriates still working in Saudi, 5,800 are female expatriate employees in the country.

The recently released statistics by the General Statistic Authority on 2016's workforce highlighted that Saudis over 60 are still working, with their numbers reaching 36,500 employees.

Although the individuals have reached the retirement age and are still working, there were however 91,7000 Saudis jobseekers by the end of 2016.

To reduce these numbers, the country has taken serious measures such as limiting certain jobs to locals.

The last decision taken by the Ministry of Labour was to cease hiring foreign dentists. Endit
