Xinhua, May 10, 2017 Adjust font size:

Indian army Wednesday claimed that it has foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC), which divides Kashmir.

The infiltration attempt was blocked in Rampur sector of frontier Baramulla district, 105 km northwest of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

According to Indian army spokesman Col. Rajesh Kalia, the infiltrators were pushed back.

"Our alert troops opened fire on a group of infiltrators attempting to sneak into our territory last night and forced them back," Kalia said.

"Search operation in the area is going on." Endit
