Seoul shares end lower

Seoul shares ended lower on Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 22.64 points, or 0.99 percent, to settle at 2,270.12.

Trading volume stood at 418 million shares worth 9.2 trillion won (8.1 billion U.S. dollars).

South Korea's currency finished at 1,135.80 won against the greenback, down 4.40 won from the previous close. Endit
