At least three civilians sustained injuries as a bomb blast rocked Behsoud district in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar on Tuesday, said provincial government spokesman Atahullah Khogiani.

"A bomb planted by militants in the cavities of Rickshaw went off next to a police checkpoint in Behsoud district at around 4:20 p.m. local time, injuring three civilian passersby," Khogiani told reporters.

Without giving more details, the official added that investigation has been initiated into the case.

However, an eyewitness said that the number of victims is higher than reported. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast. Endit
