Brazil's Temer congratulates Macron on winning French elections

Brazil's President Michel Temer sent a written message of congratulations on Monday to France's President-elect Emmanuel Macron for his victory in the presidential elections.

In the message, President Temer reaffirmed Brazil's willingness to work alongside France for democracy and said that Brazil and France are "united by the determination to promote modernization reforms" which will increase the partnership between the two nations.

The Brazilian president sent a short message to Macron on Sunday evening, after his victory over Marine Le Pen was confirmed.

In the message, published on the president's Twitter account, Temer congratulated Macron on the victory and highlighted Brazil and France's longtime relations. Endi
