German benchmark DAX index loses 22.34 points Monday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday lost 22.34 points or 0.18 percent, closed at 12,694.55 points.

German banking and financial services provider Commerzbank lost the most among the blue chips, whose share dropped by 2.58 percent, followed by multinational chemical firm Linde and industry giant Thyssenkrupp by losing 2.52 percent and 1.99 percent respectively.

Merck, Deutsche Telekom and Vonovia were the top three winners on Monday, whose shares gained 2.20 percent, 1.48 percent and 0.86 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share with a turnover of 261.58 million euros (286.12 million U.S. dollars). Endit
