Spanish stock market rises 1.11 pct, closes at 11,135 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1.11 percent on Friday to close at 11,135.40 points, up from the 11,012 points of Thursday.

Share values were up 3.91 percent in the week as a whole with the Spanish risk premium falling from the 133 points of Tuesday to the 118.70 points of Friday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate also falling from 1.66 percent on Tuesday to 1.57 percent on Friday closing time.

On Friday session, Banco Popular shares led rises climbing 8.85 percent, followed by IAG, ArcelorMittal, Mapfre, Banco Santander and Banco Sabadell that rose 5.69 percent, 4.20 percent, 2.21 percent, 2.09 percent and 1.95 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Ferrovial shares led falls losing 2.06 percent, followed by Mediaset, Grifols, Melia Hotels and Gas Natural that lost 0.60 percent, 0.59 percent, 0.36 percent and 0.02 percent respectively. Endit
